Hoboken Pizza Showdown

Think all pizza is created equal? Think again! If there is one thing Hoboken-ites have an opinion on, its pizza – and boy, do we have plenty of options. Looking for the perfect pie or a sumptuous slice, look no further! Here is a list of our faves!

Grimaldi’s – 133 Clinton Street & 411 Washington Street

Style: Coal Brick-Oven Pizza

Our tips: Known for their thin crust! Unless you want to nurse a burned tongue for a week, let it cool for a minute when the pie hits the table

Napoli’s – 1118 Washington Street

Style: Neapolitan Brick-Oven Pizza

Our tips: Amazing Margherita pizza! A great option to order in or spend the night out – BYOB!

Benny Tudino’s – 622 Washington Street
Style: Largest slice you have ever seen!

Our tips: 1 slice can feed a small family – so order sparingly

Dozzino – 534 Adams Street

Style: Wood-fired Neapolitan Pizza

Our tips: To share or not to share – individual pies made with local ingredients. Ask for their Reserve Menu for some outside the box combos!

San Giuseppe – 1320 Adams Street

Style: Coal Fired Pizza

Our tips: One of the few pizza joints with a parking lot – great for out of towners nervous about getting tickets! Try the fig, mozzarella and prosciutto pie.

Mario’s – 742 Garden Street

Style: Traditional Jersey Style

Our tips: Load up on the freshest toppings – try extra cheese, sausage, eggplant and tomato.

Zylo – 225 River Street

Style: Tuscan Steak House

Our tips: If you’re looking for a more upscale experience, this is your place. A steakhouse menu with a nice prosciutto pizza surprise on the menu!

Get outta town! Looking to break out of the mile square?

Trattoria La Sorrentina – 7831 Bergenline Avenue, North Bergen

Style: Neapolitain Brick-Oven Pizza

Our tips: A huge menu and worth the trip out of town

Rustique – 611 Jersey Avenue, Jersey City

Our tips: House made mutz and dough made on the daily – nuff said!
