Hoboken is a community that enjoys all the benefits of a big city, yet has the
coziness of a small town. Victorian houses and brownstones line the streets and
mingle with turn of the century churches and unique storefronts. In contrast,
new construction, factory conversions and high-rise luxury condominiums provide
modern amenities that many look for.
Bordered by the Hudson River and the Palisades, and centered between the
Lincoln and Holland tunnels, Hoboken boasts just 1 square mile. Unique because
of its size, everything is within walking distance with easy access to all
transportation to New York City (via the PATH train, city buses or the ferry
service) and to major highways including the New Jersey Turnpike, Route 280,
Route 3 and Route 78, which extends out to the Delaware Water Gap. Recently the
New Jersey Light Rail System, which originates in Bayonne and runs through
Jersey City’s Business Center, opened stations in Hoboken with future plans to
continue north.

Hoboken is a very special city, rich in history and cultural diversity. The
city continues to attract families and young
professionals. Much of the character and vibrancy is due to the wealth of
specialty shops and the many fine restaurants and bars. Enjoy dining al fresco
during the warm months when the charming tables and umbrellas dot the main
street. The Hudson River Waterfront has recently been complemented with
beautiful parks adorned with fountains and gazebos. Live music and festivals are
featured throughout the city during the summer. An expansive walking esplanade
connects the city and enables one to take in the dazzling waterfront New York
City views.
